After much anticipation, 8123 Fest is set to make its triumphant return in January 2025, this time at a brand-new location: the Mesa Amphitheater in Mesa, Arizona. This year’s festival spans two days and features a lineup handpicked by the event’s creators, The Maine. True to tradition, the band will take the stage on both days. On January 17th, they’ll perform their albums American Candy and The Maine (self-titled) in their entirety. “We’ll be celebrating the ten year anniversary of American Candy – so we’re really excited to play that live. The festival will also mark the end of our self-titled album era for us – so it only made sense to perform that in full as well,” explains drummer Pat Kirch.
Reflecting on the announcement, The Maine’s frontman John O’Callaghan shares his excitement: “after what feels like forever, we’re finally getting the squad back together for another weekend of bliss in the desert. 8123 Fest is set for January ’25, in a new location with new lineups and I’m frothing at the thought of it all. So break out your light coats and low SPF, because it’s officially ON.”
On January 18th, fans can expect a career-spanning set from The Maine, showcasing highlights from their nine studio albums. Since forming in Arizona in 2007, the band has toured globally, curating setlists that resonate with their diverse fanbase. 8123 Fest was originally launched in 2017 as a celebration of the band’s first decade and the deep connection they share with their loyal “8123 Family.” The festival continues to serve as a homecoming for fans, linking them to The Maine’s Arizona roots.
“8123 Fest is the comicon for The Maine fans,” continues Kirch. “We have so many surprises up our sleeves and news that we can’t wait to share,” continues Kirch. “We are psyched to have everyone out in the desert again for another 8123 Fest. This festival really is a celebration of the community we have built and the connection amongst the fans within it.”
