Rising rapper KaFi Kayzo brings the grit of Brooklyn in the visuals for his new single, On Everything.
KaFi Kayzo never does anything without giving it his all — as heard on his latest track, On Everything. The Brooklyn rapper has cultivated a distinctly unique sound, bringing together drill with his own panache not usually heard in the genre. “On Everything speaks about my roots,” Kayzo explains when asked about the track. “It represents Kamplife as a family and where we come from. In this song, I am manifesting my journey as an artist. On Everything represents my culture.”
The track, which charts the artist’s journey since his beginnings to now, is brought to another level when paired together with the new visuals for the track, showcasing the grittiness of Kayzo’s upbringing in Brooklyn in addition to celebrating his Kamplife crew. “[The track] was written in Brooklyn and later recorded in a late-night session in London, telling my story and the things I have experienced,” explains Kayzo. “This song is about coming from nothing and making it into something.” With its dark, swooping sonics and versatile drill wave, Kafi Kayzo’s On Everything isn’t just a song that is meant to be merely heard — it’s meant to completely overtake you as you listen.
On Everything is out now.
