So, are you ready to get rich? Let’s jump into that farm then!
How to Get Tons of Gold With the Beach Cloth Farm
It’s a pretty common story in WoW: as soon as players discover a great gold farm, it gets nerfed. The same thing happened to the Beach Cloth Farm, but even after the nerfs, it still remains a goldmine, so if you haven’t tried it yet, now’s the time to jump in before anything else changes.
This farm is located on the beach in Hallowfall and works only as a group activity with two teams of four players each. You can easily find groupmates through the in-game LFG tool or organize your own party with friends.
The main target of this farm is cloth, but you’ll also pick up a ton of other items, including gray and green BoEs that you can vendor for a solid amount of raw gold.
Professions You’ll Need for Maximum Gains
To maximize your earnings from this farm, Tailoring is a must-have profession, as most of your income will come from the cloth dropped by mobs. Try to max out your Tailoring skill or at least level it up as much as possible to ensure you get higher-rank drops.
As for your specs, we recommend investing 30 Knowledge Points into the top node of Textile Treasures to increase your chances of looting cloth by 100%. Put another 30 points into Quality Fabric to make sure humanoid mobs drop Rank 3 cloth, which will significantly boost your gold per hour. And finally, start upgrading the From Dawn Until Dusk main spec to unlock Dawnweave and Duskweave Tailoring sub-specs and get access to even more types of cloth drops.
If you’re looking for an extra edge, consider picking up Inscription as well to farm Darkmoon Cards. While Darkmoon Cards have already dropped in value, they can still add a 10-15% boost to your gold per hour, either by selling the cards directly or crafting and selling trinkets from completed card decks. The trick here is to spec into Archival Additions, placing your 30 points in Cryptic Collection for a chance to loot Darkmoon Cards from mobs. Then, add 15 points to each sub-spec under Cryptic Collection to enable looting all card types and improve drop rates by 50%.
For both Tailoring and Inscription, don’t forget to equip your profession tools and accessories in all three slots to maximize efficiency. And if you’re low on Knowledge Points, focus on completing Patron Orders to earn some more quickly.
Best Classes for the Farm
Any mobile ranged DPS will perform well for this farm and be a sought-after recruit for the farming groups, but Hunters definitely stand out as the top pick. With high mobility and consistent damage output, they also have one major edge — some Hunter pets allow them to walk on water, making it much easier to farm mobs that are spread out far from the shore.
Druids are also a fantastic choice thanks to their aquatic form, which lets them swim quickly underwater to reach mobs and pull them to the beach. Having a Monk in the group is pretty common too, as their Statues can taunt all nearby mobs and make it easy to gather large groups for efficient AoE kills.
Overall, you’ll only need one tank or any class that can take a few hits without going down, plus one melee DPS to nuke down the mobs, and the rest should be ranged DPS, usually Hunters and Druids.
How to Farm
The golden rule of this farm is simple: the more mobs your group can pull, the more gold you’ll rake in. Ideally, your group should aim to take down about 1,500 mobs per hour. But don’t stress if you can’t hit that number — killing fewer will still earn you a solid amount. The key is knowing how to pull mobs efficiently.
There are four spawn zones in total: left, right, in the water, and the central area. Assign two Hunters or Druids to handle the mobs further out in the water, two players each for the left and right sides, while the tank and melee DPS focus on clearing the center. Basically, your job is to pull everything you can to the middle of the beach. The faster you wipe out the mobs, the quicker they respawn — and the more gold you’ll earn in the long run.
If you’ve got both Tailoring and Inscription set up properly and you’re farming with a well-organized group, you could be looking at 40-50k gold per hour, even with current Auction House prices. In an average group, it’s more like 20-25k per hour, which is still a great haul and easy to bump up as your group gets more practiced and efficient.
