Celebrities and Their Shenanigans: Do They Do it For Attention and to Stay Relevant?

Picture 1

Why do celebrities seem so different from the average person? Why are they more interesting to talk about than our friends? Is part of being a celebrity to get up to shenanigans so that we can keep talking about them? Is being a celebrity more about talent or more about being a glutton for attention? Let’s have a look at which type of celebrities are getting up gossip-worthy news to try and see why…

Which type of celebs are getting up to shenanigans?

There are so many celebrities who are famous for a variety or skills, talent …or lack thereof! So the next question would be, which type of celebrities are getting up to their silly antics and what on earth are they up to now?

Lower-tier celebs

You might have noticed that mainly lower-tier celebs are out there doing fame-whoring moves for attention. For bigger names who are mainstay household names, like Beyonce and Jay Z, or George and Amal Clooney, they often prefer to just keep a low profile. They’ve already reached international fame-status. They’re even making the big bucks – with salaries so huge regular people would only dream of! Well, aside from those lucky casino players who might have hit the jackpot from an exclusive offer found at NoDepositDaily, of course. One hot offer that’s currently up for grabs is the 50 free spins offer available at Spinaru Casino.

For example, let’s take the case of Aubrey O’Day. Former member of Danity Kane, a girl group who was famous for a hot minute back in the early 2000’s after P. Diddy’s reality show, Making the Band. Now, of late, Aubrey has taken to Instagram in ‘photoshoots’ of herself in exotic locations around the world. The only problem being is, these photoshoots are completely fake. It’s a heavily photoshopped picture of herself posing, and then overlaid on top of other gorgeous stock images from around the internet – and it’s extremely obvious that it is. While it’s causing some attention to be grabbed, you’d wonder why not just go on a holiday instead?

Celebs with addiction or mental health problems

This is a bit of a sadder tale and one that we don’t like to see. Plenty of times if a celeb is out causing a ruckus and it’s against the law or obviously not something a usual person would do, you’ll find that underneath, they’re battling with some sort of addiction or mental health problem. This usually comes out when they’re arrested for something or papped doing something really wild.

Of course, one of the most famous cases of this is Britney’s umbrella outing. One of our fave pop stars was in the middle of a severe mental health breakdown, during which she shaved her head and then was videoed attacking a paparazzo with an umbrella. While plenty of people made fun of her at the time, it’s now scary to believe so many were unsupportive of her woes. We’re glad we all finally got to see “Free Britney”!

Celebs who were big and want to stay in the limelight

This one kind of speaks for itself when we think about Madonna. While her album releases haven’t been the best in quite some time, Madonna continues to stay in the news thanks to her wild antics on Instagram and in interviews, her increasing facial transformation, plus, usually, her dating life. Madonna’s always been in the spotlight so it’s no surprise that she craves attention and will continue to get it in the best ways she knows how, which brings us to our next category…

Huge celebs whose job it is to get attention

The weird way that the internet works is that people can literally become famous just because they are talked about often. Take, for instance, the one and only Kim Kardashian. Back in the olden days of the internet, Kim was best known for being Paris Hilton’s cupboard organizer slash best friend until her sex tape with Brandy’s brother Ray J was released. Now this tape was a cut above other celeb sex tapes at the time because it featured a golden showers scene – something that was so outrageous that people just had to talk about it. And from there she and her family have gone from strength to strength in remaining talked about, so kudos to the Kardashians for knowing how to work it.

Can celebs stay at the top of their game without generating gossip?

While it’s definitely easier to be a household name if you’re always in the gossip pages, if you’re talented enough, then your work – if it’s regular enough – speaks for itself. Even for some that don’t work very often, you can still be a household name. Daniel Day-Lewis, with only 30 film credits to his name over 40 years, is known for his raw talent and dedication to his craft, landing him many awards. So yes, you can still be famous without being gossiped about – but as they say, “All press is good press.”
