Nashville singer-songwriter Savannah Conley flees a party (and swigs a bottle of Jack) in her new music video for poignant single “Being Around You” premiering on 1883 Magazine.

Ahead of the release of her sophomore EP “Surprise, Surprise” out this Friday, alternative singer-songwriter Savannah Conley releases her new cinematic visual for her track “Being Around You.” Blending poetic and powerful lyrics with intricate melodies and emotional soundscapes, Conley has accumulated a devoted following of listeners ever since her debut in 2018. Although she might’ve had her start in Americana music, she’s very much a genre-bender; not afraid to dive headfirst into any sound or genre that inspires & invigorates her. “Being Around You” is a track that exemplifies everything Savannah’s upcoming EP is — a collection of songs that will make any listener feel seen & validated despite feeling silly for feeling too much.

The video for “Being Around You” is the first of a 2-part cinematic journey where viewers see Savannah dramatically flee a party, perform against a spotlight in some woods, and take a few swigs of Jack (which also just happens to be 1883’s favourite brand of whiskey — Savannah has good taste).

Speaking on the video Savannah states “When videos come around, it is always important to me to dig into other peoples interpretations of the songs. Working with directors who are as inspiring as they are inspired is so key, and Tyler Dunning Evans is one of those.” she explains. “When he came to me with this idea for the double feature videos I was ecstatic! It felt like exactly what the songs needed, something simplistically emotive. These videos were so fun to capture and create. The video depicts a very realistic scenario, having been at a party dying to get away lest you blurt out how you really feel.”
