1883 On Rotation: Gossip, Monjola, Bleachers

The latest in new music from Gossip, Monjola, Bleachers, Taylor Noelle & more in this week’s 1883 On Rotation playlist.

On rotation this week is Gossip’s first new track in eleven years, Crazy Again. It’s a tender and energetic new release from the trio. The beloved indie-rock band fronted by the inimitable Beth Ditto are releasing their new album entitled Real Power on March 22, 2024. Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes are gearing up to release their new album Dark Rainbow on on January 26, 2024. New single Brambles is a dark, slow-burning, and atmospheric experience which will captivate you from the moment you press play. LÉON is back with the most glorious single. The Swedish singer-songwriter has shared the glowing pop tune, Dirt. It’s full of lush vocals, driving grooves and synths. You seriously need to listen to the track. Dublin’s Monjola has dropped the fantastic tune, WOOWOO. The track itself is a unique slice of alternative R&B with gorgeous vocals and electronic-tinged production. Keep an eye on this rising artist.

Elsewhere on the playlist you can find the incredible new single from Bleachers. Following up from the previous swinging melody of Modern Girl, Jack Antonoff is offering a more refined experience on Alma Mater. It’s full of rich production textures, additional vocals from Lana Del Rey, and the most exquisite sonics. Bleachers are releasing their self-titled new record on March 8, 2024. Taylor Noelle has dropped the most intoxicating song of the week with the upbeat and effortlessly cool single, If You Want That. The track boasts stellar vocals, slinky bass, and rich production. Her new EP of the same name is out December 8. New Zealand-based artist Molly Payton is back with the ambient track, Asphalt. Asphalt is the first taster from her forthcoming full-length LP which is planned to drop in 2024 at some point. It’s a shining and quaint indie track which Payton claims helped her reclaim her love for making music. Emerging pop artist Lo Lauren is back with the colourful track, Monster. It’s an honest, fun, and vibrant earworm of a tune. Finally, indie-rock legends, The Vaccines, are back with the brilliant new track, Lunar Eclipse.
