Seductive, warm, at times dramatic, and delicate yet carrying a powerful message, that’s how “Think Of Me” sounds, the new single from rising artist Sumi X. She returns with a key track that completes a carefully crafted and truly distinctive body of work.

The pop song, laced with touches of jazz, surprises with distant, intense percussion that brings a dramatic flair unique to the artist, echoing sonic elements already explored in her previous tracks “Stay With Me” and “Butterflies.” The latter has already racked up nearly 60,000 streams on Spotify.

“‘Think of Me’ is your main character anthem. It’s a reminder to anyone who has been wasting energy on the wrong people or the wrong things to flip it and pour your energy back into yourself. I wrote it to have a little talisman in my pocket that I could listen to whenever I needed some courage to take a risk. It gives me proof that I have…and can…do anything I want to do!” she said.

Sumi X’s journey hasn’t been conventional. Born in Pittsburgh to Indian immigrant parents, she grew up inspired by their discipline and determination. Her father worked in steel mills and her mother in real estate, teaching her early on that dreams can only be reached with hard work and resilience.

Although she always knew she wanted to sing, life initially took her down other paths: she played trumpet in high school, even sharing the stage with Wynton Marsalis; she studied engineering; and later, she founded a successful consulting firm recognized by Inc. Magazine in its “30 Under 30” list.

In 2023, she made the bold decision to return to her childhood dream and fully commit to music. Since then, Sumi X has been building a career that blends her passion for music with the courage it takes to bet on the unknown.
