Relationships and situationships feel so overcomplicated today, like we have too much information and not enough experience rooted in sharing love in real life. 4K is about wanting that to be simple and easy, despite how realistic that is.
Blink Twice
I wanted to articulate the dissonance between my own thoughts and thoughts I was regurgitating from short form content on socials. It feels very easy to slip into schools of thought that are not born from my own beliefs but from what content I’d consumed most recently.
Good Morning
A depiction of my dream morning, how it sounds, looks and feels. I was really missing waking up next to a partner when I wrote this song, so it was born from a real place of yearning that physical exchange.

Slippery was born from balancing work life and love life and inevitably sacrificing the latter but still having this tension and attraction in the mix of that imbalance.

I hope I find my way, and I hope anyone I have grievances with finds their way too. An important process ofSOULSTAR was releasing feelings of resentment and moving in love and lighter feelings, irrespective of any notion of who may have been right or wrong.
