A Night at Zentis Osaka

Situated in Osaka’s Kita ward district, Zentis Osaka is a chic boutique hotel which ticks all the right boxes.

If you’re planning to stay in the Japanese City of Osaka anytime soon, then you must make a reservation at the charming, Zentis Osaka. 1883 Magazine spent a night at the hotel back in June and found it to be a sophisticated experience. As soon as you step through the front entrance of the establishment, you’ll be greeted by a spacious lobby and Guest Lounge. Both are open for guests to use 24-hours a day. If you’re thinking about heading out and it’s raining, the lobby will kindly offer you up an umbrella to use, free of charge. That was one of the small but useful details, I realised about the hotel upon my visit.

The Zentis Osaka is one of a kind as it is the first hotel in the country to have its interior designed by British Designer, Tara Bernerd, and the end result is nothing short of outstanding. Anywhere you look in the hotel, from its Guest lounge and rooms to the Upstairz bar & restaurant, every area feels stylish and sleek. Bernerd has carefully decorated the place with minimalist art, stylish decor, and well-placed lighting that really helps establish a cosy yet smart atmosphere throughout the Zentis Osaka. So it’s no wonder that the normal clientele so far are young couples, savvy business people, and international tourists. The hotel is also a member of the Design Hotels Programme.

When it comes the hotel’s 212 rooms, I was lucky enough to stay in the ‘Studio’ room. Like the rest of the hotel, it oozed with style and had everything I could possibly need. A comfortable twin-sized bed, a large tv, a shower & bath and many small touches that elevated the stay. Such as Pyjamas, a hairdryer, shampoos, razors, and many other amenities that came in handy. The ‘Studio’ room starts at ¥30,900 (£168) a night and it was worth every penny.

Speaking of other amenities, the Zentis Osaka is also home to a gym area which guests can use free of charge, there is a laundry room available for a fee, and the cherry on top is the Michelin star Restaurant located in UPSTAIRZ. The UPSTAIRZ area is a wholeheartedly classy affair and acts as the crowing achievement for the hotel, thanks to the lounge, bar, and restaurant’s delicious food and drinks.

Overall, Zentis Osaka is a must-stay if you find yourself in the area!
