Taking place around the awards ceremony on Saturday 28 February in Manchester, BRITs Week 26 marks a new chapter for the long-running charity initiative.

With the BRIT Awards leaving London for the first time in their near 50-year history, the programme is expanding beyond the capital, with shows confirmed in Newcastle, London, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Brighton and Manchester.

All proceeds from the gigs will support War Child’s work providing emergency aid, education and specialist mental health support to children affected by conflict.

The series opens on 12 February with a special opening night performance from Fatboy Slim, who will play Boiler Shop in Newcastle. London punk duo Lambrini Girls follow on 16 February at The Garage, before Myles Smith returns to his home city of Nottingham to headline Rescue Rooms on 24 February.

On 25 February, War Child Music Ambassador Jack Savoretti and Classic BRIT Award winner Katherine Jenkins will perform together at London’s Emerald Theatre, while rising R&B artist kwn plays Patterns in Brighton on the same night.Manchester will host two club shows in partnership with The Warehouse Project, with Josh Baker performing at YES on 25 February, followed by Rossi on 26 February.

The run concludes on 27 February with Jacob Alon headlining the Music Hall at Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.

Further artist announcements are expected in the coming weeks.

This year sees DHL return as War Child’s partner for BRITs Week 26, providing logistical support to help the charity deliver humanitarian aid more efficiently worldwide.
