Australian pop artist Jordan Anthony bares his soul on “Hurt Me Soon,” a heartfelt ballad blending emotional honesty, soaring vocals, and cinematic production.

At just 20, Jordan Anthony has already built a career grounded in honesty, creativity, and magnetic charm. He began piano lessons at five and was writing songs by seven, using music as both a refuge from bullying and a voice for what he couldn’t express aloud. His talent quickly earned national attention as a Top 4 finalist on The Voice Australia and as Australia’s representative at Junior Eurovision 2019. In 2024, he reached an international audience as a Top 14 contestant on American Idol, which led him to relocate to Los Angeles. Since then, he has caught ears with his collaboration “Cherry” featuring Ajii, followed by the singles “Reckless” and “Tell Me.”

Keeping his momentum, Jordan now delivers another standout track. Titled “Hurt Me Soon,” it is a powerful addition to his evolving body of work. Co-written with Brett Koolik and produced by Taylor Sparks, the song channels the raw emotions of heartbreak through a polished pop lens. Drawing inspiration from Lewis Capaldi’s heartfelt ballads, the record combines Jordan’s gift for honest storytelling with refined production, capturing that space where the pain of lost love meets the strength to move on.

“Sometimes the worst thing we can do is try to deny how we feel,” Jordan says. “I hope this song helps someone sit with their emotions instead of running from them, to feel the feels and start to heal.”

Musically, “Hurt Me Soon” blends a stirring piano melody with Jordan’s deeply expressive vocals. The track starts softly before building in intensity, as his emotions grow more tangible with each verse. By the bridge, sound and feeling collide in a cathartic release that captures the essence of the song, emotional honesty above all. Fans of Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Adele, Bruno Mars, or Charlie Puth will feel right at home with this one.

Outside of music, Jordan keeps life simple. He spends his free time eating sushi, playing PlayStation, and relaxing at the beach, while soccer remains his other great passion. Family stays at the center of his world, and he often returns to Perth to reconnect with his roots.

Jordan plans to release more singles throughout 2025, leading up to his debut full-length project in 2026, a collection he describes as his most personal work to date.
