Kenah – Uncover EP

Let rising artist Kenah Uncover your mind in her new EP.

Anyone can be called a ‘One to Watch,’ but it takes a talent with obvious passion and skill to truly embody that statement. For Kenah, that rings true. The Nigerian singer never had anything else on her mind but music. In her new EP, Uncover, that determination is at the forefront.

Over the EP, which feature percussive Afrobeat production from Krizbeatz, Killertunes and rising producer Hulla, Kenah is showing listeners where she’s headed. Across the six tracks, Kenah blends together a mix of lush vocals with deft and powerful lyricism. With lead track Foreigner, Kenah brings an elevated spin on a dance-induced track. She sings “If you like, you hate, you go still see me for your televi,” a punchy statement that demonstrates her take-no-prisoners approach to music and songwriting. Standout tracks include ‘Mind,’ seamlessly bringing together Afrobeat sonics with R&B blends and ‘Shine,’ a quieter track for Kenah but one that properly showcases her atmospheric vocals paired with poignant lyrics.

As a body of work, Uncover demonstrates exactly what Kenah is doing: creating a discography that highlights different facets to who she is, whether that’s a vibrant, peppy track or one that’s stripped back and acoustic.
