Pendulum is Now in Production
Darren Aronofsky had the right idea with hiring a seasoned horror veteran for his new movie. The movie is in production in New Mexico, with the writer of Black Swan also helping to steer the direction of the movie. Also starring in the movie are Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Phoebe Dynevor. These two people are playing as a couple, who end up being ensnared by a group at a retreat. While the horror genre has been a solid part of Reedus’ career, he’s shown that he has no intention of leaving the genre. He knows it works for him, and as fans love the characters he’s played, it certainly makes sense. It may be that he also goes on to star in other apocalyptic storylines in the future as well, given how he signed on for The Walking Dead series about his character, and has shown active interest in returning once again to reprise his role.

Although we’re still waiting on a release date for the movie, Pendulum, the movie has started filming. Principal photography began in March 2025, and the cast is all signed on to do the movie. With the details that we do know, it would not be surprising to see this movie have a 2026 release, meaning that Reedus could well have time to work on other projects in the meantime between shooting schedules.
