There’s a reason why alt-pop duo joan have become one of the genre’s most captivating acts, amassing over 200 million global streams and more than one million monthly listeners along the way. Crafting music from their home studio in Little Rock, the band — made up of Alan Benjamin Thomas and Steven Rutherford — are reaping the benefits of their much-deserved success from their 2023 debut album superglue and recently wrapped up a tour across North America as special guests of Bloc Party on their 20 Years of Bloc Party headline tour.

Following their new single “alibi” and the announcement of their new album this won’t last forever which will be released on September 25th, joan take us along on tour with them in a photo diary and give us a glimpse at life on the road.

This was right before we went on stage for the first show in boston. We drove 28 hours to get to our first show with Bloc Party.

Boston, Mass

These were the biggest rooms we had ever played, and it was so exciting to know that even though these weren’t our shows, our music got us in those rooms.

Boston, Mass

Us and the boys around nyc. Every city we’re in, we try to find the best coffee and brunch we can. We biked around Central Park, we ate steak for dinner. It was a glorious day.

Played at the anthem in DC and got 9:30 club cupcakes, that was a first for us. Ate every single bite 🙂.

We’ve got the best band ever. Levi plays drums, Jake shreds guitar. We just did 4 “close friend” shows where we sold out super small venues and workshopped our new album, played old songs we haven’t played in years, did a q&a in the middle of the set, met every single person at the show.

They were life changing and life giving. can’t wait to do more shows like that. We played 2 hours each night, so we’re absolutely locked in right now musically.

Much love from us to you. We love
playing shows, we love making
music, we love meeting people that
give our music the time of day.

We’re releasing and album later this year and it’s the best music we’ve ever written and produced.
LOVE.
