The rising artist from Las Vegas has shared a new, grooving tune.

Las Vegas-born artist Sylvaner has released a new single, ‘Plastic Love’, marking a shift towards a darker, more dance-led sound.

Raised in a household shaped by constant exposure to vinyl through his father’s record stores, Sylvaner grew up immersed in a wide range of music. That environment informed both his technical path into studio engineering and his instinctive relationship with songwriting, which he describes as his primary way of connecting with others.

Plastic Love began as a moody, atmospheric demo inspired by Chicago house, before evolving into something more rhythm-driven. After completing most of his forthcoming album, Sylvaner revisited the track, reworking it with a stronger sense of movement. The final version is built around a steady beat, grooving bassline and layered synth textures, with ethereal vocals giving the track a sense of emotional distance beneath its dancefloor-ready surface.

Lyrically, the song explores desire without commitment. Sylvaner describes the phrase “I need a plastic love” as central to the track’s meaning, reflecting a period of wanting connection without permanence, while recognising the emotional cost of that choice. He points to growing up in Las Vegas as a backdrop to those themes, where transience and excess often sit alongside loneliness.

The release follows his debut single ‘Pentimento’, a sparse and soulful introduction that Sylvaner engineered, produced, wrote and mixed himself. While that track highlighted his emotional restraint and meticulous approach, ‘Plastic Love’ signals a willingness to push into more conflicted and physical territory.

With a background rooted equally in studio craft and introspective songwriting, Sylvaner is beginning to define a sound that balances intimacy with release, creating music designed for both the dancefloor and quiet reflection once the night is over.
