1883 On Rotation: Carpark, TAEYEON, Bel Cobain

The latest in new music from Carpark, Genesis Owusu, TAEYEON, Bel Cobain & more in this week’s 1883 On Rotation playlist.

On rotation this week is the exciting duo, Thy Slaughter. Comprised of the well-known musicians A. G. Cook & Easyfun, the pair have released their debut record, Soft Rock. It’s fantastic mix of experimental pop-rock tracks. Make sure to check out the album track, Lost Everything. Next up, the rising trio Carpark have dropped the extremely cool alt-rock track, MIA. It’s lifted from the band’s forthcoming EP, Born To Be Average which drops February 2024. Genesis Owusu is continuing to go from strength to strength. The Australian artist dropped his album STRUGGLER earlier this year and he’s just added a bonus song entitled SURVIVOR. It’s a fast paced and electrifying tune with a slick flow. Kiana is a brand new artist from Toronto, Canada and she’s just released the track, secrets. It’s a vibrant slice of R&B with gorgeous vocals.

Elsewhere in the playlist you can find TAEYEON‘s track, To.X. The K-pop legend’s new single is a beautiful acoustic-led experience taken from her self-confessional EP of the same name. The extended play features six stripped-back and vulnerable tunes, you need to listen to it. London-based songwriter Bel Cobain has released the intoxicating new EP, Radical Forgiveness. Make sure to check out the EP track, Unlikely. It’s an electrifying and emotive spoken-word track which traverses jazz, drum & bass, and much more. Keep an eye on this rising artist. Chelsea Wolfe has shared the track, Tunnel Lights. It’s a beautifully haunting track with stunning vocals. Chelsea’s new album She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She drops Feb 9th, 2024. Finally, Caitlin has released the new single, What A Shame. It’s a sublime tune with soulful vocals and a grooving jazz vibe.
