The latest in new music from Benjamin Ingrosso, Gia Ford, Luna Shadows, Ghostly Kisses & more in this week’s 1883 On Rotation playlist.

On rotation this week is the brand-new single, “Kite” from Benjamin Ingrosso. It’s an upbeat and fun track that combines Swedish pop, 70s soul, and more contemporary influences. The track was co-written by Benjamin and four other writers who have worked with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Zayn, and more. Thematically, it is about the euphoric feeling you can get when you meet someone new. Next up, pop artist Gia Ford has shared the new track, “Poolside”. The single combines enthralling vocals, folk sonics, and dramatic storytelling. It’s told from the perspective of a poolboy working in the hot LA sun, in a wealthy area, who feels disconnected and angry. The Sheffield artist is gearing up to release her debut album later this year which she recorded in Los Angeles at Sound City Studios. 86TVs is the rising new band comprised of Hugo and Felix White (formerly of the Maccabees), Will White, and Jamie Morrison. The band has released their debut EP today, You Don’t Have To Be Yourself Right Now. Make sure to check out the EP track “Spinning World” for captivating vocals, ethereal sonics, and interesting dynamics. 86TVs will embark on an almost sold-out headline UK tour in February. Artist and producer Luna Shadows has shared the stellar new tune, “little rituals”. The track is a concoction of lush vocals, crisp electric guitars, pristine production and indie-folk influences. Luna’s new forthcoming LP is expected this year.

Elsewhere in the playlist, you can find the new track from Maluma. The Latin music superstar has teamed up with J Balvin for the single, “Gafas Negras”. It’s the last track to be lifted from Maluma’s Don Juan record, and it’s an energetic release. Producer Stay Flee Get Lizzy has dropped the new single “Wrist On Freeze” which boasts two fantastic collaborations with singer-songwriter Tamera, and rapper Ms Banks. The trio has paired up on the effortlessly cool R&B track that has catchy percussion, gorgeous vocals, slick flows, and more.  The track is taken from Stay Flee Get Lizzy’s new album which is landing on March 1. Singer-songwriter duo Ghostly Kisses has revealed a mesmerising new single entitled “On & Off”. It’s a tantalising slice of alt-pop with serene vocals, hypnotic bass, and sleek production. The track is taken from the pair’s sophomore record, Darkroom, releasing on May 17. Make sure you keep an eye on Ghostly Kisses this year. Finally, pop newcomer Dan Aura has shared his latest track “Rewritten” and it’s a heartbreak anthem. The song is his first musical offering since 2021 and it’s full of poignant lyricism and catchy hooks.
