“The Long Road,” the new single from singer-songwriter, bassist, and activist Casey Lipka, is soft, light, soothing, and serene, as if it aims to slow things down, build patience, and embrace calm in a fast-paced world where pausing is often frowned upon.

“There are highs and there are lows throughout life. Wisdom is knowing that even though you may not trust yourself, you know to trust the process. Continuing down the path, giving things time, giving it your all, especially when things are hard—that’s the long road,” she said.

Led by an acoustic guitar and her warm, textured vocals, the track gently lowers the pulse from its very first note while inviting listeners to reflect on the modern urge to keep moving, even without a clear destination.

Based in Los Angeles, Casey has built a path that deeply resonates with her loyal audience. She moves effortlessly between genres and collaborative projects, always maintaining a deeply human perspective on music. Casey approaches creation as a dialogue, a space where stories are shared and sustained within a community, something consistently reflected in her work.

Singing since childhood, as her mother often recalls, the artist has toured nationally and internationally, both with her own projects and alongside the acclaimed rock band CAKE, performing on renowned stages.

Beyond her recordings and tours, she actively supports and uplifts initiatives that amplify women and nonbinary artists, as well as community gatherings and projects that turn art into a vehicle for representation and connection. That same intention runs through her solo work.

From her debut album, “Show Up,” to the upcoming “Giving It Time,” set for release soon, Casey has developed a body of work that expands into ballet compositions, museum installations, and large-scale tributes, without ever losing sight of her authenticity.

Within this vision, “The Long Road” stands as a piece that encapsulates her philosophy. The song sits with the discomfort of the process, embracing the uncertainty of moving forward even when things aren’t fully clear, framing it as a strength rather than a weakness.

With a new album on the horizon and a project rich in substance, listening to Casey Lipka’s “The Long Road” is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and seek calm, even as a quiet act of rebellion.
