Four Places That Will Take Your Breath Away in New Zealand

New Zealand attracts over 3 million visitors each year and it is easy to see why this place is so popular, as it is home to some of the most amazing sights and experiences you will find around the world.

If you are contemplating taking a trip to New Zealand then be warned – by the time you’ve finished this article, you will probably be looking up the price of flights. Here are some of the things that will take your breath away in arguably one of the world’s most beautiful countries.

1. Rotorua’s geothermal pool

Rotorua is a volcanic crater that is full of hot pools, erupting mud and colorful vegetation and minerals that offers some of the most unique experiences you can imagine. You can relax in the hot pools and take in the stunning surroundings whilst you try and catch your breath.

Kerosene Creek, Wairua Stream, and the Waterfall Spout Bath Wai-O-Tapu are all worth a visit whilst you are in this part of New Zealand, where you can enjoy the very best of nature.

The Waikato River is the longest river in New Zealand but there is a lot more to it than just the size. The water quality is so good that this is one of the clearest waters you will ever see, with it being possible to see seven meters below the surface at some points.

You can enjoy the experience even more by seeing the river up close on a boat and the Waitomo Glowworm Caves are spectacular, where you can go black water rafting. If you want a completely different view, you can try the bungee jump view instead! This is one of the most famous bungee jumping spots in the world.

3. Christchurch Gondola ride

The best way to see Christchurch’s stunning landscape is from the sky, and the Gondola ride (cable car) provides panoramic views of this beautiful place. Take in the cityscape, Southern Alps, and many other breathtaking sights along the hour-long journey.

Whilst you’re in Christchurch, take a trip to Avon Beach or Highcliffe Castle for more exciting and educational experiences. More entertainment also awaits at the famous Christchurch Casino, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The casino offers everything from over 500 slots and classic table games. If you catch the casino bug while you’re there, you’re now lucky in that online casinos offer a large and similar variety of games, in a safe and secure environment. If you’re still unsure, however, check here to make sure you don’t get caught by dodgy casino bonuses.

4. Tongariro National Park

Even if you’re not a keen hiker, you will be impressed with this epic part of New Zealand. There are three active volcanic mountains to view, great skiing slopes, canyons, and forests to explore. You can jump on a quad bike, pedal your way down a cycle trail, or even visit the spectacular Taranaki Falls.

There are so many different activities around Tongariro National Park that if you are an outdoorsy type, you will want to stay here forever!

Have you booked your flights yet? New Zealand is waiting for you to visit and experience all of these amazing places.
