New York-born, Los Angeles-based artist Michelle Kash has released her new single ‘Salvation’, an upbeat dance-pop track that explores the space between breaking down and breaking through.

The song pairs Kash’s smoky, soulful vocals with synth-driven production, creating a contrast between its polished, energetic sound and the darker emotions at its centre. Written during what Kash describes as one of the lowest points in her life, ‘Salvation’ reflects on feeling disconnected from herself while holding onto the possibility that things could change.

“Salvation is a dark dance-pop song about not knowing whether you’re going to break or break through,” Kash explains. “I wrote it at one of the lowest points in my life, when I felt completely disconnected from myself and was looking for any sign that things could change.

“The song lives in that space between darkness and hope, with the idea that even when you can’t see the way out yet, you have to believe something will shift.”

Kash began releasing music in 2019 with her debut single ‘Smoking Gun’, followed by ‘Hurt Me’. In 2020, her reimagining of Depeche Mode’s ‘Personal Jesus’ reached No. 4 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. She returned with ‘Gravity’ in 2025, followed by a remix in February 2026.

Alongside her own music, Kash hosts collective performances in New York and Los Angeles and is involved in work supporting animal welfare, as well as safety and opportunities for girls and women.

For Kash, music remains a way of turning personal experiences into a shared experience for listeners.

“When I listen to music, I don’t feel alone anymore,” she says. “I hope listeners walk away with the same feeling.”
