Fresh off a run of sold-out shows and with serious momentum behind him, Scottish DJ Ewan McVicar is continuing to carve out his place as one of the most in-demand names in dance music. Known for his high-energy sets and instinct for reading a crowd, McVicar has built a reputation the old-fashioned way, through consistency, passion, and a genuine connection to the culture.
That rise is only picking up pace. After two huge headline nights at Dublin’s 3Arena, he kicked off the year with the long-awaited release of Share The House, a track that’s already making waves. With a packed festival schedule on the horizon, the months ahead look set to be defining.
For our latest On Tour With feature, Ewan McVicar takes 1883 Magazine behind the scenes during his time in London, supporting Fatboy Slim at Alexandra Palace and at a cheeky, intimate Newcastle show, sharing an exclusive look at life on the road.

Overlooking that mental student house in Newcastle

Lab54 – there was a power cut during the first song, and someone pelted a full bottle of Coke across the room – I got covered. By the end of the night people were on their shoulders, it was carnage. A proper house party

This is in London on day three after Paris and Newcastle – I’m sleeping
