Singer-songwriter Skylar Stecker delivers an emotional experience on new single “hate that for you”.

The billboarding-charting artist, Skylar Stecker, has returned with her new stand alone track, “hate that for you”, and 1883 is exclusively premiering the single and its music video before it drops later today. It’s the singer’s first release since her well received and recent EP, Earth Signs. “hate that for you” is a piano-led ballad with stunning vocals, emotive lyricism, and delicate electronic nuances. Thematically, Stecker traverses the struggles of a person’s inner conflict as they battle their feelings in a struggling intimate relationship. Speaking about the track, Stecker said: “”hate that for you” was written about a person’s inner struggle with their own conflicting thoughts of feeling neglected in their relationship and fear that being forthcoming could lead to the relationships demise.”

The accompanying visuals show Skylar Stecker in a simplistic one-shot journey that showcases the raw moments that a person can go through when dealing with turbulent emotions in a relationship.
