When I adopted my dog, I found myself suddenly immersed in a world I didn’t expect, pet stores full of loud packaging, mysterious ingredients, and a sense that this whole space hadn’t changed much in decades. I care about what I put in my own body, what I bring into my home, and how things feel, and I wanted to give my dog that same level of care and attention.
That’s where MAYA started.
Not as a brand, but as a question: Why shouldn’t our pets be part of the same intentional lifestyle we try to create for ourselves?
Making Pet Care Part of Everyday Life
MAYA is about taking better care of our dogs in ways that feel good, honest, and human. Not clinical. Not overly cute. Just real, thoughtful care.
We make everyday wellness essentials like gut and joint supplements that are clean, backed by science, and made with ingredients I’d be comfortable taking myself. But it’s also about the way it all fits into your life. The bottles look at home on your counter. The routine is simple. And the whole experience is something that doesn’t just benefit your dog, but connects you to them in a deeper way.

It’s More Than Just Products
To me, wellness is emotional. It’s how your dog looks at you when they feel good. It’s the small moments of routine that say “I love you” without words. I wanted MAYA to be about those moments just as much as the supplements.
We’ve also built the Canine Welfare Advocacy Index, which is a growing directory of rescue organizations doing incredible work in the US and Mexico. These are the people helping dogs who haven’t been as lucky as ours, and they deserve more visibility. MAYA supports them, shares their stories, and makes sure this brand stays rooted in something real.

For People Who Care About Design, and Dogs
MAYA is for people like me, who care about aesthetics, who like things simple and intentional, and who believe pets deserve more than just the status quo. I wanted our products to feel like something you’d be proud to own, not something you hide away in a cabinet.
We don’t shout. We don’t use fake claims or make things more complicated than they are. We just try to do the right thing—for dogs, and for the people who love them.
A Shared Life
I think the best relationships—especially the one we have with our dogs—are built on small, consistent acts of care. MAYA is just one way to make those acts feel a little more beautiful, a little more mindful, and a little more connected.
