1883 On Rotation: DEJA, aespa, Unflirt

The latest in new music from DEJA, aespa, Unflirt, The Howlers & more on this week’s 1883 playlist.

On rotation this week is the latest track from the talented DJ and producer, Michaël Brun. Coming Your Way is a vibrant and electronic-tinged pop sleeper hit. Brun teams up with the renowned artists Anne-Marie & Becky G, resulting in one fun song. Read our previous chat with Brun by clicking here. DEJA pays tribute to greatness and unwavering determination on the new tune, Mo Farah. The artist has penned an effotessly cool afro-pop single with buttery vocals and crisp production textures. You can expect more from the MOBO Unsung finalist in the future. Next up, the rising K-pop superstars, aespa, have shared their new single, Better Things. Penned by the inimitable uk songwriter Raye, it’s aespa’s latest english-speaking track. Make sure to catch the in-demand girl group when they perform at London’s O2 arena next month. Singer-songwriter Unflirt is back with a new track. The tune is called Stains and it’s a gorgeous slice of bedroom pop. Unflirt is quickly making a name for herself thanks to her confessional and deeply relatable lyricism. Keep an eye on this emerging artist.

Elsewhere in the playlist you can find the desert-rock trio, The Howlers. Their latest musical offering is called El Dorado. It’s a cinematic and atmospheric experience which shows off the group’s enormous potential. The band will be releasing their forthcoming debut album in 2024. American musician Margaret Glaspy has released her new album today. Echo The Diamond is Glaspy’s third studio record and it’s full of raw, rock-led anthems. Make sure to check out the slow burning album track, Get Back. Silver Lining is a fabulous new single from the up and coming artist, Maya Delilah. The acoustic-led track is a bittersweet love song about the contradicting sides of a love interest. With the release of Silver Lining the BRIT school Alumni continues to impress with her undeniable talent. Finally, if you’re in need of an emotive piano-led rollercoaster, then RHODES has you covered. The singer-songwriter has released the utterly gorgeous track Sunlight. Themeatically the song follows the artist processing the effect that his state of mind has on those around him. It’s nothing short of mesmerising.
