The latest in new music from Norah Jones, Toby Sebastian, Luke Hemmings, Dumomi The Jig & more in this week’s 1883 On Rotation playlist.

On rotation this week is the nine-time Grammy award winner, Norah Jones. The singer-songwriter and pianist has just released her ninth solo record, Visions. The album boasts 12 stellar and vibrant tracks, make sure to check out “Staring At The Wall”, it’s a wonderful mix of gorgeous vocals, bluesy guitar, piano, and a driving 60s drumbeat. The buzzy songwriter Hans Williams has shared his debut EP, More Than One Way Home. It’s a five-track EP full of atmospheric indie-folk songs which were written and recorded between Vermont, Georgia, and New Orleans. Make sure to check out, “Skin” for stunning vocals and introspective lyricism. Catch him on a US tour from March 15. Songwriter Toby Sebastian has shared the brilliant new single, “Down The Westside”. It’s a fantastic slice of indie-rock with solid vocals, infectious harmonies and catchy guitar hooks. The musician and actor is embarking on a UK and EU headline tour from March 20th. The multi-platinum singer-songwriter Luke Hemmings has shared the superb new single “Shakes”. It’s a fab mix of melancholy lyrics, ethereal production, and serene vocals. It’s also the 5 Seconds of Summer frontperson’s first teaser from his forthcoming new EP, Boy, which lands April 26th.

Elsewhere in the playlist, you can find Dumomi The Jig’s new single, Butterfly”. The rising UK-based musician blends together infectious afrobeats with emotive vocals, mid-tempo R&B influences, and lush production. The song follows on from his viral hit “Maria”, so keep an eye on him this year. Nigerian artist Kemuel is cementing himself as standout act thanks to his new tune, “Polo”. It flows with thrilling percussion and bass, synths, and captivating vocals. Thematically, “Polo” is about seeking a genuine connection with his crush. Kemuel’s upcoming sophomore record CLOUDS drops in April. The American newcomer Mandolin has shared the brand new track, “LIE TO YOU”. It’s a dramatic, stylish alt-R&B tune with jaw-dropping vocals, and slick production. “LIE TO YOU” is the songwriter’s first release of the year, following on from the 2023 track, “Backstreet”. Mandolin is inspired by the likes of legendary artists such as Bill Withers, Etta James, James Brown, Amy Winehouse, and more. Finally, girl in red has dropped the new single, “DOING IT AGAIN BABY”, it’s fun, bold, and a rollercoaster of a release. Her new album, I’M DOING IT AGAIN BABY! releases on April 12.
