The latest in new music from Claire Brooks, Fousheé, Rosie Lowe, HONNE, and more in this week’s 1883 On Rotation playlist.
On rotation this week is the brand-new single from LA artist Claire Brooks. On “GO(RILLA)”, the songwriter masterfully combines psychedelic indie-pop with R&B vocals, and rap. From the moment you press play you’ll be obsessed, it’s that good. Thematically, the track is about Brooks realising that “no one cares for anyone but themselves”. Keep an eye on this artist. Next up, Fousheé has released the breezy pop tune, “war”. The track boasts lush vocals and calypso-styled instrumentals. Singer-songwriter and producer Rosie Lowe has shared the tune, “Something”. It’s an intoxicating mix of electronica and soulful vocals. It’s the final single to be taken from her new record, Lover, Other which dropped today. Alt-pop duo HONNE have recently shared their emotive and gorgeous track “Say That You Will Wait For Me” featuring Liang Lawrence. Elsewhere in the playlist, you can find the new track from Chess Club Records signee, Siobhán Winifred. “Don’t Do Well Alone” is full of indie-rock influences, exceptional vocals, and anthemic choruses. Her debut EP of the same name will land on September 27 and there’s also an upcoming headline UK tour in October. Folk Bitch Trio have shared the sublime track, “God’s A Different Sword”. It’s full of serene vocals, gorgeous harmonies, and warm production. The band will headline London’s Servants Jazz Quarters on September 17. Songwriter Mark Ambor has finally dropped his debut album, Rockwood. It’s a stellar 12-track LP full of acoustic guitar and bright vocals. Make sure to check out the album track “Our Way”. Finally, producers Henry Green and Colouring have teamed up on the mesmerising new track, “Final Form”. It’s full of electronic textures, layered vocals, and ambiance.
