1883 On Rotation: Nonô, Rio Rainz, Bradley Simpson

The latest in new music. Curated by the 1883 team.

The latest in new music from Nonô, Rio Rainz, Somebody’s Child, Bradley Simpson & more in this week’s 1883 On Rotation playlist.

On rotation this week is the new single from Rose Gray, entitled “Wet & Wild”. It’s a dance-pop gem lifted from her debut record Louder, Please which lands on January 17 via PIAS. Brazilian-born, London-based artist Nonô is back with a new track called “Fenomenal”. It’s a Latin-speaking tune with a Brazilian baile funk rhythm, electronic drums, and rave elements. It’s taken from her upcoming new EP which explores identity and connection in the digital age. Rio Rainz has shared the brilliant new single, “17”. It combines elements of indie, alt-pop, alt-R&B and thematically the song looks at Rio’s struggles with his mental health. Next up, Somebody’s Child has dropped the sublime “Time Of My Life”. It’s full of lush vocals, cinematic qualities, and building instrumentals. The group’s sophomore record When Youth Fades Away is out March 28th via Frenchkiss Records.

Elsewhere in the playlist, you can find The Vamps frontman Bradley Simpson who’s teased his forthcoming debut solo album via the exceptional new single, “Holy Grail”. It’s a clear departure from the group’s work and offers a more mature, personal sound full of tender guitar and gorgeous vocals. His first solo LP, The Panic Years, traverses elements of indie-rock, Americana, 80’s synth, psychedelia, and pop. It lands on February 28th. Catch him on tour across the UK in May 2025. British singer-songwriter Emily Burns has released her stellar debut LP, Die Happy today. Burns has also dropped the new single “Stay” which features on the record. It’s full of elegant vocals, and a fragile piano melody. Thematically, it covers infatuation. Emerging singer-songwriter Generation Feral is continually going from strength to strength. After performing at this year’s Truck Festival, she has now released the new single, “Braincloud”. Check it out for gripping spoken-word vocals, ukulele, and more. Finally, The Amazons are back with the fierce and atmospheric rock tune, “Pitch Black”. You can read our previous chat with the band by clicking here. Go check it out.
