On rotation this week, Seye Adelekan has shared his second track of the year with “New York Doesn’t Love You Anymore.” Full of emotive vocals, gorgeous strings and delicate piano, it’s a deeply moving tune that marks six years of sobriety for the artist. Haunting and introspective, the track captures the sting of returning to a place that no longer feels like home. We spoke to Seye in 2023 about his debut EP.
Mei Semones delivers “Zarigani,” a stunning glimpse into her debut album Animaru, out May 2nd via Bayonet Records. The Brooklyn-based artist masterfully fuses jazz-infused indie with intricate guitar work, creating a sonic world both delicate and expansive.
Lydia Night steps into the spotlight with her first ever solo release, “Pity Party”. The song is a bold pop gem from the former Regrettes’ frontwoman, blending raw vulnerability with her signature punk-tinged energy. Speaking about the song, she said: “I’m reflecting on my occasional need for attention and validation, rather than trusting my own perspective, which can leave me feeling all over the place emotionally.”
The Marías have finally unveiled “Back To Me” after teasing it on tour with Billie Eilish last year. Accompanied by surprise B-side “Nobody New,” the release lands just in time for their highly anticipated Coachella performance.
BAYLI is back with “Sugarcoat,” an electrifying club anthem. Layered with hypnotic beats and sultry vocals, it’s the sound of a love that thrives in the dark—where reality fades, and fantasy takes over. The songwriter is bolder and more unapologetic than ever.
Ed Sheeran kicks off a new era with “Azizam,” out now. The global music sensation has Infused Persian and Irish folk influences and the end result is a euphoric pop anthem. It was created alongside Swedish-Iranian producer Ilya Salmanzadeh. This marks a fresh chapter in his career and is a teaser from his highly anticipated 2025 album.
Devon Cole has dropped the lush track “Play House,” marking a new phase in her ever-evolving artistry. Following the success of her 2024 EP Two Shades Blonder, Cole continues to put out songs with sharp lyricism and infectious melodies.
Ella Hunt has dropped the utterly divine single, “Subway Trash”. It’s a devastatingly honest track with powerful vocals, piano and cinematic production.
Finally, fast-rising singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri has shared her stellar new EP Little House. It follows on from last year’s accalimed debut LP, What A Devastating Turn Of Events. Make sure to check out EP opener “Can we talk about Isaac?” for intoxicating vocals and indie hooks.
