The latest in new music from Hearts2Hearts, The Dare, Jade Bird, Sombr & more in this week’s 1883 On Rotation playlist.
On rotation this week, K-pop newcomers Hearts2Hearts return with their second single “Style”, a bubbly disco-house track brimming with Y2K flair. The release arrives just ahead of their debut UK performance at SMTOWN Live in London on June 28th.
The Dare is back with new track “Cheeky”, which appears on the deluxe version of What’s Wrong With New York?: Afters, alongside two other unreleased tracks. The buzzy New York artist continues to bottle downtown chaos into slick, punchy electro-pop.
“Narani Narani” unites Korean collective Balming Tiger with Japanese group ATARASHII GAKKO! for a kaleidoscopic celebration of childhood freedom and creativity. The playful track fuses folk, psych and alt-pop into something entirely unexpected.
Dutch-New Zealand trio MY BABY channel trance-like energy on “Siren Song”, an entrancing blend of psych-rock and tribal rhythms. It’s hypnotic, otherworldly, and impossible to ignore.
Taken from her upcoming album Who Wants To Talk About Love?, “Nobody” sees Jade Bird grappling with the collapse of a relationship she’s not ready to let go of. With heartfelt lyrics and a soaring chorus, it’s one of her most affecting tracks to date.
“Love Is Cruel” is the first taste of indie rocker Miles Kane’s new record Sunlight In The Shadows, produced by Dan Auerbach, and due later this year. With cinematic flair and poetic lyrics, Kane finds calm in solitude while nodding to classic Western aesthetics.
One of America’s most talked-about rising stars, Sombr keeps his momentum going with “we never dated”, a bittersweet take on modern romance. The track follows two Top 10 singles and a sold-out headline show in London.
The Kid LAROI finally drops fan favourite “How Does It Feel”, after teasing the track across social media for months. With over 3,500 TikTok creates already, it’s another emotionally charged anthem from the Australian artist.
