The BFI London Film Festival once again transformed London into a meeting point for some of the most exciting voices in contemporary cinema, bringing together acclaimed filmmakers, breakthrough talent, and internationally recognised stars for a celebration of storytelling from around the world. On the red carpets of this year’s premieres, 1883 caught up with the artists behind three of the festival’s most talked-about films, offering a glimpse into the projects generating buzz throughout the event.
Leading our coverage were Sebastian Stan and John Cho. More than a decade after Sebastian Stan first appeared in 1883’s 2012 The Shining print issue, the actor reunited with the magazine at the premiere of Fjord, the Palme d’Or-winning drama from director Cristian Mungiu. We also met John Cho on the red carpet for Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, discussing the film as it made its festival debut before speaking with its writer-director, Bassam Tariq.
Elsewhere, 1883 continued its Fjord coverage with cast members Renate Reinsve and Anna Bodea, alongside Mungiu himself, while our final festival conversation saw us speak with acclaimed filmmaker Andrey Zvyagintsev and lead actor Iris Lebedeva at the premiere of Minotaur.
Together, these red-carpet interviews capture the energy, anticipation, and creative spirit that defined this year’s London Film Festival.
