In 2013, Alyson Eastman wanted a winter coat. Not a statement piece, not an investment buy, just a coat she actually loved. She couldn’t find one. So she sketched it, had it made, and two weeks later was holding her first garment. A collection followed. Then a label. Then, a few years later, Kate Moss wearing one of her hand painted jackets to the Met Gala.

Her background is part of the story. Raised on a farm in Washington, she grew up riding horses and living practically before studying fashion in LA and Paris and going on to work at Zac Posen and Ports 1961. Alyson’s fashion taps into a shift that’s been building for a while, a growing exhaustion with buying cheap and throwing away faster.
