Slovak singer-songwriter Alan Murin returns with ‘All I Need Is Love’, an uplifting pop ballad rooted in healing, resilience, and emotional connection. Blending polished production with deeply personal songwriting, the track continues to showcase Murin’s ability to balance contemporary pop sensibilities with genuine emotional honesty.
Written during an intimate songwriting camp in Iceland, the single emerged from a creative session shaped by openness and vulnerability from the outset. Collaborating with Icelandic producer Halldór Gunnar Pálsson and songwriter Arnor Dan Arnarson, Murin found himself immersed in an environment that encouraged honest reflection and human connection.
“The session started with a hug,” Murin recalls. “Within seconds of meeting, Arnor asked if he could hug me. It immediately broke down every wall in the room and created this safe space where we could talk honestly about life, family, struggles, and the things that keep us going.”
Those conversations gradually became the emotional backbone of the song, transforming reflections on hardship, spirituality, and personal growth into lyrics that feel intimate yet universally relatable. Musically, “All I Need Is Love” embraces warmth and simplicity, anchored by live piano from Pálsson and textured with organic foley percussion, including stomps, chair knocks, and the sound of a guitar case. The result is a track that feels intentionally human, mirroring the sincerity of its message.
The single unfolds like a reassuring embrace, offering listeners comfort during uncertain moments. Murin describes it as a song written not only for children, but also for the “inner child” carried into adulthood. “It’s like a little anthem of support or motivation,” he explains. “Just a song to hug you when you need the hug.”
Since emerging in 2019, Murin has become one of Slovakia’s most successful contemporary pop artists, earning millions of streams, topping IFPI charts, and building a reputation for heartfelt lyricism and creative independence. His independently released debut album Trueself established him as a distinctive voice within Slovak pop, while recent singles including ‘Domov’ and ‘Ty a Ja’ have further cemented his chart success.
