Nothing is stopping Swedish artist Lexi Berg — not even the “Bermuda Triangle.” Born in Stockholm, Sweden, and raised on a houseboat, Berg began studying classical piano at the age of 5. Her talent was discovered in London by Faris Badwan of The Horrors, who produced her debut single, “What If.” Now, with the release of “Bermuda Triangle,” Berg is showing a new side to her artistry.
This moving and emotional ballad once again highlights Lexi’s powerful, raspy voice, so much so that critics draw parallels between her and Stevie Nicks. “Bermuda Triangle” is built around a hard-hitting and intimate solo piano and vocal performance, which gradually crescendos into a cinematic final chorus. The track, co-written with acclaimed songwriters Jim Eliot and Grammy winner Jimmy Hogarth stands in stark contrast to Lexi’s recent folk-infused single “Lonely Satellite.”
Despite their stylistic differences, both songs delve deep into themes of loneliness, loss, and disconnection, using rich, metaphorical space imagery. “Bermuda Triangle” evokes the universal experience of feeling like an outsider—unseen, unheard, and yearning for connection—set against a backdrop of haunting vocals and raw piano.
