Following 1883’s previous support of Chloe Star, one of alt-pop’s most exciting emerging voices, the Persian and Indigenous singer-songwriter has returnsed today with her latest single, ‘Games’. It’s another bold statement from the artist and sees Star combining explosive alternative rock influences with sharp pop instincts and unfiltered emotional honesty.

A multi-talented artist, visual creator and tribal advocate, Chloe Star has built momentum since emerging in 2023, earning support from global tastemakers including Rolling Stone, who featured her track ‘Bad Habit’ in their 2025 Best New Music: Songs You Need to Know list, alongside coverage from METAL Magazine, CLASH, EARMILK and yours truly. Her electrifying live performances have also taken her to major stages including London Pride, New York Pride Festival and The Dinah in California.

Growing up between her family’s reservation in San Bernardino and Los Angeles, Star’s creative identity has always been shaped by her surroundings, heritage and a desire to process the world around her.

That instinct continues throughout ‘Games’, a track that captures the thrill, danger and unpredictability of chasing something even when the outcome remains uncertain.

Musically, ‘Games’ wastes no time making an impact. Jungle-inspired rhythms collide with gritty alt-rock guitars, creating a relentless backdrop for Star’s dynamic vocals. Moving between rapid-fire rap sections and powerful soaring choruses, she channels influences ranging from Amy Winehouse and Nirvana to Paramore, Billie Eilish and 1883 alumni YUNGBLUD, while maintaining a sound that feels distinctly her own.

“‘Even if the game is dangerous, I still want to play. I’ve always been drawn to the thrill of not knowing how something will end, even when I know it could destroy me,” Star explains. “There’s something addictive about throwing yourself into the unknown just to see what happens. The adrenaline, the chaos, and whatever version of yourself is waiting on the other side. ‘Games’ is about the part of me that’s always willing to roll the dice, no matter the consequences.”

With its combination of vulnerability, intensity and fearless energy, ‘Games’ marks another step forward for Chloe Star as she continues to define her place within alternative pop.
