Pop artist and television personality Reggie Benjamin has returned with one of the most personal releases of his career. Arriving today, Harmony In Blue: The Duets sees the Billboard-charting singer reimagine a collection of beloved classics alongside an eclectic cast of collaborators spanning music, television and film.
At the heart of this record is a fresh take on Andy Gibb’s I Just Wanna Be Your Everything, the 1977 hit penned by Barry Gibb. Rather than reinventing the song beyond recognition, Benjamin opts for a faithful, polished interpretation that leans into its enduring sentiment while introducing it to new audiences.
The project brings together an unexpected lineup of guests, including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump, actor Joe Mantegna, Full House alum Jodie Sweetin, Big Time Rush’s James Maslow, actor Dermot Mulroney and Benjamin’s wife, Iwona Benjamin. Together they revisit songs that have become fixtures of the popular songbook, from The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and Send In The Clowns to Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself. The album closes with an intimate rendition of We’ve Only Just Begun, performed by Reggie and Iwona Benjamin.
While Harmony In Blue: The Duets celebrates classic songwriting, it also reflects Benjamin’s long-standing ability to bridge different corners of the entertainment world. The singer first found international success with his debut album 2X-Centrix, whose singles Ride and Hurry Up charted across more than 30 countries. Away from music, he has hosted programmes for MTV, Sony TV, Zee Music, ITV and CTV, building a career that extends well beyond the recording studio.
The release also carries a charitable focus. Seventy-five per cent of proceeds from the album will be donated to a number of organisations, including Vanderpump Dogs and an anti-human trafficking charity that has chosen to remain unnamed for security reasons.
Benjamin will celebrate the album’s arrival with a special release event on July 18, which coincides with his and Iwona Benjamin’s tenth wedding anniversary.
For an artist whose career has been defined by collaboration, Harmony In Blue: The Duets feels like a fitting reflection of both his musical journey and the personal connections that continue to shape it.
