Viola Davis Is The New Addition in Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Movie As Michael Jordan’s Mother

Viola Davis is cast as the mother of Micheal Jordan in a highly anticipated movie on agreement between Nike and Jordan. This is a biopic movie about Sonny Vaccaro, a former Nike executive who signed a billionaire deal with Micheal Jordan.

Cast And Crew of the Biopic

Viola Davis will play Deloris Jordan, the mother of Michael Jordan and an influential figure in the Nike deal. Deloris had a key role in the realization of the deal between his son and Nike.

Tennon, Davis’ real-life husband, will play the role of Jordan’s father, James, in the movie.

The Batman, Ben Affleck, will play Rob Strasser, a Nike executive, and the branding expert who made Nike what it is today. He played a key role in securing the deal with Michael Jordan.

Tucker will play the role of Howard White, a junior executive at Nike and a former basketball player at Nike’s basketball department. Papa will play the role of former Portland Trail Blazer executive Stu Inman.

Mesina will play David Falk, who was Jordan’s first agent. Wayans will play George Raveling, the first Black basketball coach in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Pacific-10 Raveling is the one who turned Vaccaro on to getting Jordan to sign a deal with Nike.

The biopic is a joint production of the Amazon Studios, Mandalay Pictures, and Skydance Sports. The original script was written by Alex Convery, while Affleck and Damon wrote the screenplay for it.

The duo is also included in the production, with Affleck in the director’s chair as well. Other producers are Jason Michael Berman, Peter Gruber, Madison Ainley, Jeff Robinov, and David Ellison.

Executive producers include Drew Vinton, Dana Goldberg, Kevin Halloran, Jon Weinbach, Don Granger, Jordan Moldo, Michael Joe, Peter E. Strauss, Jesse Sisgold, and John Graham.
