The latest in new music from Drax Project, Odeal, Kali Uchis, Skye Houston &more in this week’s 1883 On Rotation playlist.

On rotation this week is pop-rock-trio, CarPark. The band recently shared the track Suburbs Of Hell. It’s a stylish and slick track with production from Spacemen (Dua Lipa, Sigrid, and Dermot Kennedy). You can expect more from them in the near future. One of New Zealand’s biggest new bands, Drax Project, has dropped their sophomore record, Upside, today. The group has supported Ed Sheeran, Lorde, and many other huge names. The album’s lead single Luxury is an undeniably positive and fun upbeat tune which will make the perfect soundtrack for warm summer days. Liz Cass is a rising singer-songwriter and she has released the track, Map Of A Human Heart. It’s an emotive and introspective synth-pop tune. The song is lifted from the artist’s forthcoming new album which is expected next year. Emerging artist Odeal has released his new nine-track EP, Thoughts I Never Said. It’s full of gorgeous vocals, lush textures, R&B beats, and much more. Make sure to check out the EP track, All That It Takes.

Elsewhere in the playlist, you can find the world-dominating artist Kali Uchis continuing her Spanish-language music era with a collaboration with Columbian artist Karol G. The single is called Labios Mordidos or in English, Bitten Lips. It’s an infectious grooving track and it’s taken from Kali’s upcoming record, Orquídeas. Next up is the Nigerian star, Mayorkun. He’s unveiled his new five-track EP Love.. For Free. It explores love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Check out the penultimate track on the project, My Energy. It’s a great Afrobeat tune. Skye Houston is a singer-songwriter based in New York. Skye has just dropped the single, Company. It’s a passionate slice of alt-R&B with killer vocals and pristine production. Finally, renowned DJs Wim Hof and Gavin Koolman have formed the dance duo, TRANSMISSION. The pair have released their debut single LOVE via electronic music label TRICK and it’s a transcendent and euphoric experience.
