1883’s top acts to see at Meo Kalorama Festival 2022
Parque De Bela Vista is the newly appointed home of Portugal’s freshest music festival: Meo Kalorama.
Meo Kalorama is being held in the beautiful surroundings of Parque De Bela Vista, close to the heart of Lisbon on the first three days of September and is all about music, art, and sustainability. The newly realised festival is sure to be an instant hit by securing world-renowned acts such as The Arctic Monkeys, The Chemical Brothers, Disclosure, and electronic dance music legends Kraftwerk for their first-ever edition.
Before 1883 makes the trip over to Portugal for the festival, we’ve compiled a not to be missed shortlist of some of the artists that you can catch during the event.
If previous performances at Summer Well, Sziget, and the Zurich Open Air are anything to go by, then the festival attendees at Meo kalorama are in for a real treat as Arctic Monkeys are one of the headlining acts. Debuting their first new material since 2018’s Tranquility Base Hotel And Casino last week in Zurich, 1883 is looking forward to seeing how their sound has progressed since their previous space-themed release.
The Liverpool four-piece, Crawlers, is another band that you should check out. 1883 caught their set at Community Festival earlier in the year and the energy and personality they exude onstage prove that they are ones to watch.
Rising Brazilian artist Marina Sena is also someone to check out, the 25-year-old joins the packed Meo Kalorama line-up following on from previous performances at Lollapalooza and MITA festival earlier in the year.
The Chemical Brothers
Formed in 1989, The Chemical Brothers were pioneers in bringing the big beat genre to the forefront of pop culture and can’t fail to bring a great end to the first day. Make sure to watch their set, it’s going to be a spectacle.
Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds
The iconic Australian rock artist and his band will be gracing Kalorama Festival. With seventeen studio albums under their belt, they will have no end of hits to play.
