Jaclyn Fortier Introduces Storytelling Series to Inspire Healing and Growth

HIGH POINT, NC — In a world where many feel silenced by life’s challenges, Jaclyn Fortier is offering something revolutionary in its simplicity: a safe space to speak your truth. Through her storytelling series, Fortier, founder of Carolina Counseling Wellness Associates, invites individuals and communities into a healing journey fueled by connection, courage, and compassion.

Built on the idea that healing happens through authentic dialogue, the initiative empowers others to explore their inner voice, share stories, and build deeper emotional connections. The program blends narrative therapy, community building, and

Dream big, write your own story, find your advisors, deep friendship, connection through community building,” says Fortier. “That’s the foundation of real healing: being seen, being heard, and knowing you’re not alone.”

Healing Through Shared Stories

Jaclyn Fortier’s approach is rooted in her own lived experience. As a Navy veteran and licensed counselor who navigated profound adversity, she knows firsthand how powerful it is to reclaim your voice. After surviving domestic violence as a young mother before beginning graduate school, Fortier began rewriting her life—starting with her inner narrative, while helping others through what she had once experienced.

Her storytelling series invites others to:

  • Share their stories in clinically guided, safe narrative therapeutic settings
  • Explore their personal growth journey through reflection and narrative therapy
  • Build trust and friendship with others navigating their own healing paths
  • Learn emotional tools for finding  their inner voice and self-worth

The program draws from evidence-based therapeutic models and centers storytelling as the catalyst, while growing through connecting with others.

A Vision Rooted in Growth, Education, and Self-Mastery

Fortier’s mission extends beyond individual healing. The storytelling series is part of her broader work advocating for mental health education, stigma reduction, and wellness leadership across national industries.

She often speaks and writes on:

  • Mental health and emotional wellness
  • The power of personal adversity as a life teacher
  • How education, travel, and life experience can shape emotional intelligence
  • Narrative therapy and self-mastery as tools for empowerment

Her goal is to help people become authors of their own lives, not just survivors of their circumstances. The series supports this by blending therapeutic techniques with community values, inviting others to heal through friendship, reflection, and deep self-respect.

More Than a Practice, A Movement

At Carolina Counseling Wellness Associates, Fortier has built a team known for its trauma-informed care, emotional safety, and workplace wellness culture. The storytelling initiative is an extension of that philosophy, offering space for people not just to heal, but to build and thrive through.

Whether it’s a group workshop, a speaking engagement, or a writing event, Fortier’s work always comes back to one core principle: healing happens in community.
