Based in New York City, Susanna Tung is a 2D motion designer who specializes in branding. Her work is defined by a signature illustrative style that utilizes vibrant, bold palettes and gradients to create engaging commercial narratives.
Susanna started off as a student in the medical field. While pursuing a degree in nutrition, she realized her professional interests were shifting toward the visual arts, ultimately leading her to follow her creative instincts. This transition led her to move to the United States to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she specialized in motion design. There, she successfully integrated the disciplined focus of her academic background with a newfound technical mastery, developing a visual language defined by an illustrative touch and vibrant colors.
She has produced high-end commercial content for globally recognized brands such as Fortnite and Dove, seamlessly blending visuals with detailed storytelling. From the rigors of medical science to the forefront of digital art, Susanna utilizes her unique background to push the boundaries of visual expression in the creative industry.

Susanna’s strategic creative vision was central to the success of the Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) animated film. Serving as both art director and motion designer, she was responsible for the creative transformation of traditionally text-heavy government instructions into an engaging visual narrative. She spearheaded the introduction of characters to serve as the audience’s guide, orchestrating a narrative that transformed procedural rules into a compelling visual. To elevate the production value, she blends 3D assets with 2.5D environments in After Effects to create a rich sense of dimension and pop – such as the transition of a plane zooming toward the viewer. Departing from the clinical, static nature of typical government messaging, she established a vibrant visual language defined by a bold and bright color palette. Her intentional choice of color was designed to evoke the energy and hospitality of Taiwan, ensuring the campaign felt approachable yet sophisticated. Under Susanna’s guidance, the film discarded traditional static graphics in favor of a vibrant atmosphere that maintains visual stimulation from the opening frame to the conclusion.

The success of the campaign under Susanna’s leadership is reflected in its massive reach and high-profile distribution. To date, the film has garnered over 230,000 views on YouTube and has become a primary touchpoint for the Taiwanese travel experience. It is prominently featured at Taoyuan International Airport arrival terminals and is broadcasted in-flight on premier international carriers such as EVA Air, serving as the definitive visual guide for travelers entering the country.
This project further solidifies Susanna Tung’s reputation as a leading figure in motion design. Currently, she is bringing her unique creative vision to ARC Creative, a premier studio known for its cutting-edge visual effects, innovative motion design and storytelling. At ARC, she specializes in the production of high-end commercial content and social campaigns, where she continues to push the boundaries of 2D animation and mixed-media design. Her recent work involves creating design and animation for globally recognized brands such as Alaska Airlines, reinforcing her ability as a designer capable of translating brand identity into immersive cinematic experiences.
