London | April 2026
The inaugural exhibition of Arklink’s major international project, Human Voyages, titled The Day We Leave the Shore, was presented at Indra Gallery, London from April 7 to April 10, 2026.
Bringing together 21 artists from around the world, the exhibition featured works across painting, installation, and moving image. Within a shared space, diverse individual experiences shaped by different cultural contexts were brought into dialogue, forming a narrative field centered on the moment of “leaving the shore.” Here, departure is not treated as a single, decisive act, but as an ongoing condition—one that unfolds between having left and not yet arrived.
Participating Artists:
Aikedan Adili, Quan Bai, Ruiling Chen, Riko Guo, Han Wang, Yue Hu, Ouyi Jin, Yan Kong, Zeya Li, Shangda Li, Stephen Liu, Yui Lin, Lu Meng, Tianhui Tao, Yun Wen, Xinrou Wu, Anna Yan, Yunhan Zhou, David Zoom
Curated by: Chengming Xing, Yiwen Fu
Produced by: Arklink

The exhibition opening day welcomed visitors including artists, curators, collection advisors, and professionals from across disciplines. The exhibition space maintained a continuous flow of viewing and conversation throughout the event.
During the exhibition, Arklink also invited collectors and industry professionals to visit, fostering direct connections between artists and the collecting ecosystem. Several collection advisors and gallery representatives engaged in in-depth conversations with artists, with a number of works receiving clear expressions of acquisition interest.
At the same time, sustained attention from both international and domestic media extended the exhibition’s presence beyond the physical space into a wider network of circulation.

The Day We Leave the Shore focuses not on arrival, but on the moment when departure takes place—when individuals remain connected to the past, yet have already entered a new state of uncertainty.
Rather than presenting departure as a clear break, the exhibition approaches it as a gradual shift: a condition in which familiar coordinates begin to loosen, and new orientations have yet to fully emerge.
Through the juxtaposition of different media, this in-between state is made perceptible as a shared experience. The works do not offer a unified narrative, but instead unfold in relation to one another, forming a space of dialogue.
As the starting point of the series, The Day We Leave the Shore marks the beginning of an ongoing trajectory, with future exhibitions to be presented across different cities worldwide.
