Following the success of Church, singer-songwriter and accomplished producer Gareth Dunlop returns with his latest video I Don’t Feel You, premiering on 1883.
With its infectious energy and soaring sense of freedom, it represents a dynamic shift in musical direction and serves as a testament to renewal and optimism. The comforting strums of acoustic guitars have been replaced by a lush landscape of synths. Drawing on influences from gospel music, ethereal guitar melodies, and a pulsating rhythm, I Don’t Feel You marks a significant evolution in Dunlop’s sound.
The Northern Irishman explains “I started writing ‘I Don’t Feel You’ years ago after one of the greatest moments I’ve ever not felt. I walked into a bar knowing a “certain someone who I was once pretty hung up on” was there. I thought it was going to be a tough night with weird feelings, and it was none of that. An encounter of sheer blissful nothingness.”
Taken from his highly-anticipated third album, Welcome To The House Of I Don’t Know, set to release early this summer, the new material will further enrich his extensive catalogue, which has been featured on hit TV series such as Nashville, Lucifer, This Is Us, Bones and Suits.
