This season, leather dominated the New York runways, making its presence known across every corner of the fashion spectrum. From renowned names as Michael Kors and Coach to emerging designers, buttery-soft, impeccably tailored leather is primed to be the standout essential of the cool season.
The Fall 2025 collections displayed a symphony of leather in all its glory — cropped bomber jackets,
sleek, structured blazers, and quintessential trench coats were just the beginning. Leather was shown as
more than a statement this month; it was the signature fabric of the season, appearing everywhere in
innovative, fresh forms.
Notable names in the industry, such as: Khaite, Coach, Michael Kors, Ulla Johnson, Toteme, Brandon
Maxwell, Eckhaus Latta, Altuzarra, Lafayette 148, Proenza Schouler, Ashlyn, Anna Sui and Christian
Siriano, all paired their autumn visions with a stunning array of leather.

Yet, the showcase of leather extended well beyond just outerwear. Collections also featured an abundance of leather in alternate forms: skirts, trousers and footwear—each piece showcasing the versatility and elegance of this timeless material. Swinging skirts from Brandon Maxwell’s collection casually graced the runway, as well as the perfectly oversized-not-too-oversized trouser. While meticulously tailored pencil skirts with monochromatic matching boots to pair, draped over the models of Toteme.

Many designers included the classic tones, sleek black, rich chocolate, earthy greens, while Coach and
Toteme included chic, warm camel tones and Khaite opting for pops of deep, sultry reds. Each house
showcased the fabric in refined and captivating styles. These collections did more than just incorporate
leather; they celebrated the smooth garment in its most luxurious, polished form — ensuring that leather
will reign supreme, not only in the season to come, but as a yearly brisk-season essential.

This past fashion week, leather seamlessly complemented the runways, cementing its buttery-status as a cornerstone of fall 2025 fashion. So, prepare for the power of leather — it will shape your wardrobe, and your life, with luxury and effortless style.
