2025 was an excellent year for luxury travel. New ships entered the market, several five-star hotels reopened after renovations, and long-anticipated events occurred.
However, 2025 was just the beginning. 2026 is shaping up to be even bigger and better than last summer. In the planning, we have flagship resorts opening across the Mediterranean, luxury hotel brands launching cruise ships, and more.
A VERY Competitive Booking Window

Summer 2026 is offering a lot for luxury hospitality, forcing luxury brands to compete against each other. For travellers, this is massively beneficial. Brands fighting for our bookings mean better deals for us.
We imagine they’ll provide bonuses similar to the online entertainment industry. For example, the Betfair casino bonus gives new users 50 free spins when they deposit £10, showing how deposit promotions work. Hospitality brands may offer something similar with a goal to get us to try luxury experiences for a better price.
Because of this, we urge anyone considering luxury travel in summer 2026 to look for deals, as they’ll certainly be available.
The Big Summer 2026 Launches
The summer calendar is packed with major openings happening between June and September 2026:
- Four Seasons Resort Mykonos (Summer 2026): Four Seasons’ first-ever Greek island resort featuring 94 cliffside rooms.
- Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca (Summer 2026): Mandarin Oriental’s first hotel in the Balearic Islands.
- Louis Vuitton Hotel, Paris (Opening 2026): Louis Vuitton’s first-ever hotel, taking over the Haussmannian building at 103 Champs-Élysées.
- Public West Hollywood (Summer 2026): A design-led lifestyle hotel from the Public brand in LA.
- Amanvari, Mexico (2026): Aman’s debut on the Baja California peninsula.
- Hapag-Lloyd MS Europa World Music Cruises (from September 2026): Four customised music-themed cruises starting with a 12-day voyage.
Deals to Look Out For

With so many new properties and events opening, everybody is chasing early bookings at the moment.
Because of this, we recommend you search for deals with travel agencies like Virtuoso and TravelSort. They often provide the best packages for luxury getaways.
Though it’s difficult to say what they may offer, as they change regularly, it’s worth looking for free nights, activities, breakfasts/dinners, and so forth.
Looking Ahead to 2027
The pipeline of 2026 looks interesting, without question. However, 2027 is shaping up to look quite promising as well.
There are many new openings for luxury travellers. Taking the lead is the Bulgari Resort Ranfushi Maldives (2027). This will be Bulgari’s tenth hotel and second Maldives resort, which will be perfect for a 2027 getaway during the summer period.
Other than that, you have Silversea’s “The Cormorant at 55 South” (October 2026), which is an Antarctic cruise, The Knox in Dallas (Late 2026), the Six Senses Grand Bahama (2026/2027), and Hapag-Lloyd’s full 2027 music cruise programme.
For anyone in the luxury travel space, it’s safe to say that we have an exciting few years ahead of us. Therefore, if you haven’t already, it may be a good idea to start planning your 2026 or even your 2027 luxury travel trip soon.
