Having built an online following since the age of 13, YAZ has spent years carving out her own space on the internet. Now a musician, YAZ is drawing on the pop and R&B influences that soundtracked her childhood whilst pairing witty songwriting with an unfiltered take on modern relationships, personal experiences and the conversations that inevitably end up in the group chat.
With nearly 1.4 million followers across her platforms, YAZ has cultivated a distinct identity that sits somewhere between the chaos of a rom-com and the intimacy of a conversation between friends. Her ability to turn everyday experiences into relatable pop has helped her connect with a growing audience, establishing her as an emerging artist with a clear voice and perspective.
Her latest EP, Should I Block Him?, out today, continues to explore the complexities of relationships with the humour and self-awareness that have become central to her artistry. As she brings her music to new audiences, YAZ is entering an exciting new chapter in her career.
Recently YAZ performed at Front Row, UTA’s new London live music series, which brings together emerging talent and the people shaping culture. For its inaugural session, UTA clients Gigi Moss and YAZ performed live in The Green Room at The Devonshire, in front of an intimate audience including UTA’s Co-Head of UK Music, Neil Warnock, Head of UTA’s London Office, Darnell Strom, and The Devonshire’s co-founder, Oisín Rogers.
For 1883, YAZ went behind the scenes of the showcase, penning an exclusive diary.

In-ears at rehearsals for my show at The Devonshire Green Room for UTA’s first artist showcase

A little sneak peek at rehearsals at Bush Studios with Pax on guitar and keys. Lots of playing the same bits over and over until everything starts to come together and the set comes to life

We dove in on the original set list to fine tune everything before moving onto songs on the new EP, Should I block him? Out now!!

Very excited to be performing at The Devonshire Green Room. It’s round the back, if you know, you know!! I’ve been to The Devonshire for a glass of wine, but never to sing, so this was definitely a new experience for me.

Pre-show at The Devonshire, which obviously meant chips and sausage rolls. Who says British food can’t be great? Hope you can’t tell I was super nervous here about to do only my third ever show. Luckily, it all disappeared the second I got onstage

Post-show at The Devonshire Green Room. Such a good crowd, such a fun night. Very lucky to work with lovely people and share a lineup with Gigi Moss
Keep up to date with YAZ here.
