Easter is almost here, and the chances are we will be spending it at home again.
However, you can still dress up at home and have fun with all of the spring and summer fashion trends. Buying a new outfit and throwing on a glam makeup look can take your Easter holiday from nought to one hundred.
It’s the unofficial start to spring party season, and it’s time to have some fun with clothes again! Say goodbye to coffee-stained loungewear, and hello to all things chic and vibrant.
Florals
Miranda Priestly infamously cancelled florals for spring, in The Devil Wears Prada. Florals might not be revolutionary, but they sure are a fun and flirty addition to any outfit. Invest in a floral dress in muted tones, or opt for a bold print with big flowers from head to toe.
Or, if you agree with Miss Priestly, maybe stripes will be your pattern of choice this season. Striped skirts are a big hit on the runway this spring. Pair them with a simple cardigan and let your bold stripes do the talking.
Button downs
After a year of sweatpants and t-shirts, no wonder designers are craving a more tailored look. Button-down shirts are all the rage for spring, especially in bright colours. Choose a classic white button-down that will never go out of style, or look into a lime green shirt to blend in with the grass.
Pink
All shades of pink are in this season, and we are here for it. Buy a pink power suit paired with some killer heels for a girl boss look. Or, make it casual with pink tailored trousers and a cosy cardigan.
If you are still loving loungewear, why not invest in some relaxed pink joggers? Wear them on Easter Sunday while hunting for Easter Eggs with the kids. You won’t have to worry about getting them dirty or ripping a seam when playing. Brilliant!
Headbands
Embellished headbands are back, and they are bigger and better than ever. Try a pearl headband to spice up your classic hairstyle. The party may be cancelled this Easter, but you can still look glamourous for the Sunday roast.
Pair a sequin headband with any plain outfit, and you will be bang-on-trend. Accessorises are a fabulous way to invest in trends this season without breaking the bank. Consider spending more money on classic pieces and sprinkle a few trends in here and there. Simple.
